PROLONGING THE LIFE
OF YOUR CARPETING
70% of the soil in your carpeting can most likely be removed
by....

That's right! Regular vacuuming helps
keep your carpet not only looking good, but it also helps prevent
fiber damage. When soil is trapped in carpeting for long periods of
time, it begins to act like sandpaper and wear away the carpet
fiber. Keep in mind it's best to go back & forth up to four
strokes across the carpet to sufficiently clean the low traffic
areas. For high traffic areas found outside doorways, kitchens,
family rooms or home offices, it's best to go up to ten wand strokes
back and forth to really clean those areas! |

What's
better for indoor air quality -- carpets or hardwood?
About
ten years ago, Sweden
thought that carpet contributed to the development of allergic
illnesses. Installed carpet was banned from public buildings—
dropping the market share from 40 percent to 2 percent. During that
same time period allergic cases increased 600 percent! With this startling discovery, Swedish authorities now believe
that the increase in allergies was due to poor indoor air quality.
Have you ever noticed that the debris on tile and hardwood floors is
stirred up much more easily than on carpet? That’s because carpet
acts as a filter that holds
indoor pollutants until they can be removed by cleaning. So it makes
sense to vacuum regularly!
